Yes, it’s “Normal”, But…

Depression and anxiety are common experiences in our modern lives. While we are all prone to “down days” or getting too wound up at work, sometimes those feelings become something more. Whether you’re experiencing persistent negative thoughts, lack of excitement about your life, constant worry that keeps you awake at night, or more severe symptoms, professional help can go a long way to turning the tide of these common issues.

All too often people downplay their early symptoms of anxiety or depression, and without change or sufficient support, these symptoms can persist and escalate. We are happy to support you in evaluating your concerns and can partner with you or your teen to help improve daily functioning, as well as to address deeper issues.

If you’ve started to feel like your anxious thoughts are running your life, you’re not your usual energetic self, you’re easily overwhelmed, or you’re starting to isolate, your appetite has changed, or you’re feeling frequent panic, it may be time to consider getting some help to explore if you may be experiencing depression or anxiety.

Maybe you’ve noticed changes in your teen’s behavior, social life or academic performance. Unexpected life transitions can also bring up issues. Depression and anxiety can also impact partners and family members. Sometimes the whole system needs support.
