Individual Psychotherapy

I offer individual psychotherapy sessions by appointment. I am passionate about supporting people in freeing themselves from their own constraints to become happier, more fulfilled, and more in balance. I draw from a range of techniques and concepts including EMDR, CBT, Somatic Experiencing, mindfulness, attachment, solution-focused, psychodynamic, and more , as well as drama and expressive arts therapies. I am always learning, and I tailor my approach to the needs and interests of each individual. Counseling sessions with me do not necessarily include expressive arts, unless deemed clinically relevant or requested as a modality by the client, so my services are friendly to the arts-averse looking for a more traditional counseling experience, as well as those looking for something different. To set up a free consultation or learn more about my therapy services, please contact me. Individual sessions are 50-minutes.

At times it is appropriate to work with a partner, family member, or family members together. Family counseling and family sessions can be discussed on a case by case basis. It’s important to have a consultation to determine what member(s) of a family might be appropriate for therapy work.

Common client concerns include: depression, anxiety, self-criticism, boundaries and healthy relationships, self-esteem, family stress and conflict, life transitions, trauma and old wounds, loss of identity, disconnection from self, sadness, stress

Couples Therapy

I offer couples counseling for partners facing relationship challenges. My approach often involves building a foundation by focusing on communication skills, and I frequently give couples tasks and practices to try outside of session. I draw on knowledge of attachment, the nervous system, systems work, and I also enjoy incorporating the data-driven work of John Gottman and am a certified Gottman Seven Principles Leader. All couples are welcome at Creative Counseling Nashville, PLLC. Couples sessions are 50-minutes unless alternate arrangements have been discussed.
